We have now added two Digital Citizenship unit studies (physical kit) for Grades K-3 and 7-9.
These engaging units are designed to explore a variety of important health, safety, and digital citizenship issues facing students in the 21st century. It is very important that all students develop skills for navigating our increasingly connected, and increasingly digital world in a fun and safe manner. The units are divided into three sections:
● Part One: Staying Safe on the Net. This section address safety rules for using the computer and the internet.
● Part Two: Being a Good Digital Citizen. This section introduces students to the idea of copyright and plagiarism. It also introduces cyberbullying and how we can prevent cyberbullying, or stop it if it is taking place.
● Part Three: What is Bullying and What Can I Do About It? This section addresses the concept of bullying and encourages students to develop strategies to prevent or stop bullying, and to practice being kind to others.
We have also added an All About Spelling kit: Level 1
Your student will learn encoding skills, reliable spelling rules, and multisensory strategies for spelling, along with exciting new concepts, including phonograms, consonant teams, segmenting, syllables, consonant blends, initial blends, final blends, and plurals. Phonological awareness and encoding skills are taught throughout Level 1.
