On November 11th we pause to honour those who fought for our freedom in Canada and beyond and to recognize their sacrifice.
We have so many freedoms in British Columbia and in Canada that we may take for granted.
- We are a peace loving nation protecting women, children and the elderly.
- We have the right to vote without worrying about our safety
- We have religious freedom and the right to worship as Christians in our churches and schools.
As I reflect on my freedoms I also thank Jesus for the sacrifice He made for my soul and mankind. He paid a huge price to bear the sin of the world and paved the way for our freedom.
Hebrews 10:19-20 says, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place.”
