Curriculum

A few resources to consider are:

Windows to the World (Literary Analysis & Composition)

An adjustable curriculum containing specific lessons to guide students through the basics of literary analysis (elements and devices), to think about a story’s meaning and write about it.

Your teens will appreciate the unstuffy way Sharon Watson teaches literature. They’ll read some great novels, encounter the hero’s journey, learn literary terms and elements, and gain an appreciation for fine literature.

Teens learn to write persuasively, learning persuasive strategies.  Later, they’ll navigate a comparison-and-contrast essay, a biography, a literary analysis, a research paper with MLA documentation, and much, much more. In addition, students will master description and narration essays.
