Log in to BrainPOP or to BrainPOP Educators (no username or password required), which has the option to choose BC curriculum standards. For Science there are many BrainPOP videos and games available at the Gr. 10-12 level.
In BrainPOP you will find short animated movies, to creatively engage students in learning. (Gr. K-12) Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.
Log in to Curio.ca and search among the many science-related topics. Be sure to check under the “Categories” for Math, Science and Technology topics. Check under “Collections” for programming in Math, Science and Technology. Also, look under “Resources” for BC Curriculum to find Anatomy and Physiology 12, Chemistry 11 and 12, Earth Sciences 11, Environmental Science 11 and 12, Geology 12, Life Sciences 11, Physics 11 and 12, Science 8 to 10, Science for Citizens 11 and Specialized Science 12.
Curio.ca offers the audio and video content from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and Radio-Canada for unique Canadian content. (K-12, but mostly high school content) Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.
Log in to Discovery Education Canada and search for science topics. Some of the topics available are Earth/Space Science, History and Nature of Science, Inquiry, Life Science, Physical Science, Science and Technology and Science in Personal and Social Perspectives.
Discovery Education Streaming Plus offers students award-winning digital or multimedia content. (K-12 content) Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

EBSCOhost’s Explora is a site to encourage student research with extensive, reliable content and ease of use. (K-12 content) Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.
Log in to EVERFI to find the following free courses: AlcoholEdu for High School (analyze the influences around and effects of alcohol use on the brain and body – Gr. 9-12), Prescription Drug Safety (Gr. 9-12) and Radius (secret agents using STEM concepts to achieve their goals – Gr. 8-10).
EverFI produces digital courses, such as: financial literacy, STEM, diversity and inclusion, student loan management, digital citizenship, civic awareness, entrepreneurial thinking, alcohol and substance abuse, and sexual assault prevention. GALE CENGAGE Learning and GALE Databases: Log in to your parent home page in Encom, or through the Search Portal at the Search Portal landing page to find the links, usernames and passwords for the various GALE sites: “Canada in Context”, “Global Issues in Context”, “Gale Virtual Reference Library”, “Science in Context” and “Global Reference on the Environment, Energy and Natural Resources”.

Log in to Gizmos, our inquiry-based math and science subscription, aligned to BC’s modernized curriculum. (Science Gr. 10 available) Here is the Shared Gizmo List for Grade 10 Science and for the STEM Cases Gizmos for Gr. 10-12. The Shared Gizmo List allows you to see which Gizmos are in each grade/class and to actually use the Gizmo for up to 5 minutes before being logged out.
Gizmos are interactive online simulations for math and science, which allow students to strategize, test and learn. Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.
Log in at KNOW BC and search by going to an encyclopedia or book to search.
KnowBC is the leading general reference site for British Columbia, including the Encyclopedia of British Columbia and other reference works. (Gr. K-12) Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.
Log in to Learn360 and then search for Science topics, such as Biology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Family & Consumer Sciences, or Physical Science. If you go to the Advanced Search, choose “Interactives” for Grades 9-12, you will find dozens of titles from Infobase and Learnetic, which will allow you to do activities in the subject areas listed above. For example, the ‘Advanced Physics Fundamentals Series’ from Learnetic has well over 100 titles available for study.
Learn360 is a media-on-demand service or digital video library for Gr. K-12, with digital, audio and other support materials. Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.
