Please note, the focus in Career Education for Grades 6 – 7 is:

  • recognizing personal preferences
  • goal setting
  • self-assessment
  • managing a project (PBL) (like building a treehouse)

  • work on developing a (network) circle of mentors, family, close friends who the child can talk to about making decisions

World Book Student (Gr. 5-8)  Log in through the parent home page in Encom under “curriculum resources”, and scroll down to World Book.  Students can search using the search bar or choose “Find it by…” and choose from Subject, A-Z, Advanced Search, Images or Videos.  You can also choose “For Educators” at the bottom of the page for “Educator Tools”, including finding materials correlated to the BC Standards.
