Learning Commons Resources
Ninth grade science is a challenging and dynamic year designed to prepare students for new learning adventures in tenth grade! Topics explored will deepen student knowledge of physics, chemistry, biology and earth and space science. Opportunities to fully employ the scientific method are found throughout each kit.
Students will also be challenged to complete inquiry-based learning, conduct research, design their own experiments and projects, and present their learning to others. Each kit is designed to integrate the Modernized BC Curriculum Core Competencies: Communication, Creative and Critical Thinking, and Personal and Social Skills/Knowledge.
Topics explored in our ninth grade science kits include Chemistry, Electricity, Matter and Energy Cycles, and Cells and Cellular Reproduction. Each kit also integrates concepts in mathematics, literacy, technology, and design thinking!
We have a wide variety of books, curriculum and DVDs that cover this topic.
