Log in to BrainPOP Jr. https://jr.brainpop.com/ for the science videos available for Gr. K-3.

Go to the BrainPOP Educators site https://educators.brainpop.com/ (no login required) which has the option to choose BC curriculum standards.

In BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr. you will find short animated movies, to creatively engage students in learning.  (Gr. K-8)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to Curio.ca at https://curio.ca/en/.  Search under resources for curriculum and filter for Science for ages 5-8 to find “Scout and the Gumboot Kids”.

Curio.ca offers the audio and video content from CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) and Radio-Canada for unique Canadian content.  (K-12, but mostly high school content)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to Discovery Education Canada at http://www.discoveryeducation.ca/Canada/ and search for science topics.  There will be topics such as:  earth/space science, inquiry, life science, physical science, science and technology, and science in personal and social perspectives.

Discovery Education Streaming Plus offers students award-winning digital or multimedia content.  (K-12 content)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to Explora Primary at http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=uid&profile=explorapri  with the username & password that you will find on your parent home page in Encom under ‘Curriculum Resources’.  Scroll to find Science topics.

EBSCOhost’s Explora is a site to encourage student research with extensive, reliable content and ease of use.  (K-12 content)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

or http://members.enchantedlearning.com/science/ and look for science topics.  There are topics such as biology, astronomy, chemistry and physics, geology, weather/seasons/climate and the earth.

Log in to KnowBC at http://knowbc.com/ and search by going to an encyclopedia or book and searching it.

KnowBC is the leading general reference site for British Columbia, including such resources as the Encyclopedia of British Columbia and other reference works.  (Gr. K-12)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

First log in to Learn360 https://learn360.infobase.com/p_Home.aspx  before you choose a topic or “click” on a link.  Once in Learn360 select a topic such as Biology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, Family & Consumer Sciences, or Physical Science, then filter for the appropriate grade range.

Learn360 is a media-on-demand service or digital video library for Gr. K-12, with digital, audio and other support materials.  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to Mystery Science  https://mysteryscience.com/.

Mystery Science provides ready-made science ‘mysteries’ for elementary students in Gr. K-5, created to encourage children’s curiosity.  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to PebbleGo https://www.pebblego.com/ to find science topics for Gr. K-3.

PebbleGo is a research site for students in Gr. K-3 (Animals, Science, Social Studies and Dinosaurs), which has read-along audio.  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

SAS® Curriculum Pathways provides interactive tools, resources, and apps for grades K-12.  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to World Book Kids (Gr. K-5), World Book Science Power (Gr. K-7) or World Book Early World of Learning (pre-K to Gr. 3) through the parent home page in Encom under “Curriculum Resources”.  In World Book Early World of Learning there are topics such as animals, earth, getting around and plants.  Under the fun videos, there are many animal videos.  Similarly, World Book Kids has many science topics.  World Book Science Power is specifically geared to science content for these grades.
