Learning Commons Resources

Third graders embark on a dynamic exploration of indigenous cultures and societies within Canada, and around the globe. This exciting year enabled third-grade learners to delve deeply into the concepts of community, culture, identity, and story. We spend time looking to the past, examining the present, and imagining the future. Each third-grade social studies kit is designed to integrate the Modernized BC Curriculum Core Competencies: Communication, Creative and Critical Thinking, and Personal and Social Skills/Knowledge.

Content areas explored in third-grade social studies include: Indigenous People of Canada and Indigenous People Around the World. Each kit also integrates concepts in numeracy, literacy, art, technology, and design thinking!
