Log in to BrainPOP Jr. https://jr.brainpop.com/ and search the videos available for Gr. K-3, for topics such as Communities or Economics.

Go to the BrainPOP Educators site https://educators.brainpop.com/ (no login required) which has the option to choose BC curriculum standards.

In BrainPOP and BrainPOP Jr. you will find short animated movies, to creatively engage students in learning.  (Gr. K-8)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to Discovery Education Canada at http://www.discoveryeducation.ca/Canada/ and search for topics such as Careers and Workplace Skills.  There will be topics such as:  Education, Engineering, Environmental Occupations, Financial, Health, Human Services, Workplace Skills, Marketing and Sales, Mechanics, Media and Arts, Personal and Building Services, Production Occupations, Professional Specialty Occupations, Scientific Occupations, Technical and Related Occupations, Technology, and Transportation and Material Moving Occupations.  Students can also search for topics such as goals, safety, skill achievement, home safety, job and road safety and outdoor safety

Log in to Explora Primary at http://search.ebscohost.com/login.aspx?authtype=uid&profile=explorapri  with the username & password that you will find on your parent home page in Encom under ‘Curriculum Resources’.

Log in to Kidblog  https://kidblog.org/login and learn how to create community online in a safe, scaffolded environment.

Kidblog is a secure, private blogging platform created specifically for educational use.  (Gr. K-7+)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to KnowBC at http://knowbc.com/ and search by going to an encyclopedia or book and searching it.

KnowBC is the leading general reference site for British Columbia, including such resources as the Encyclopedia of British Columbia and other reference works.  (Gr. K-12)  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

First log in to Learn360 https://learn360.infobase.com/p_Home.aspx  before you choose a topic or “click” on a link.  Once in Learn360 select a topic such as Careers, Job Search, Guidance, Counseling or Technical & Vocational Education, then filter for the appropriate grade range.

Learn360 is a media-on-demand service or digital video library for Gr. K-12, with digital, audio and other support materials.  Look for a full description under “Subscriptions” in the main menu above.

Log in to World Book Kids (Gr. K-5) or World Book Early World of Learning (pre-K to Gr. 3) through the parent home page in Encom under “Curriculum Resources”.  Both sites have information about working and careers for these ages.
