Do you want to play with liquid sand?

Mark Rober is creating one of the coolest Science experiments ever! He is making sand turn from a solid to a liquid state in a way that looks like magic and is fun to play with. He is using air dispersed through the sand from the bottom of the container to “fluidize” the particles in a way that makes them react like a liquid as long as the air is going through it. The top layer is almost frictionless because of the air pockets at the top of the sand. You can scoot items across the surface or easily push things under the sand only to have them pop back up again.
