Help Students Meet Math Standards

With HCOS Subscriptions and eBooks from OverDrive/Sora Virtual Library

When it comes to choosing math curriculum, I generally say that it is preferable to choose based on what will connect best with you and your student, rather than simply choosing what aligns best to BC’s standards.  This is because math curriculum needs to be a good “fit”.

In my opinion, there is no “best” math curriculum, but rather a “best fit” for you and your student.  So, if you choose the best fit, how do you align with BC’s standards or address the holes where the curriculum may possibly be lacking?

We get these kinds of questions quite frequently in the HCOS Learning Commons, and that is why we have developed these handy tools for you to find resources and activities that will meet standards where your favourite math curriculum may not.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me anytime.
