Explode the Code Book 4 1/2 is a designed for students who require additional practice with the concepts taught in Explode the Code, Book 4 (sold-separately). Perfect for reinforcement and extension activities, exercises cover the same concepts as the whole-number book: various syllable types (open, closed, Cle, silent -e, digraphs, and syllabication with two to three syllable words (VC/CV, V/CV, VC/V, VCC, CV, VC/CCV). Students will also gain additional practice opportunities that focus on blending sounds to read and write mutisyllanic words.
