Title: The World Upside Down - by Abby Jennings Grade 6
Description: The World Upside Down I’m siting by the water Looking at my face; The trees are floating by me With ripples of the lake. The sky is falling down, With shadows of the clouds. The fishes swim toward me, The birds twitter up high, Above where I lie, Looking at the water, Thinking of the sky. Inspiration for The World Upside Down: When my mom was reading to me about the Spring Poetry Contest and read the definition of the word reflection, the first two lines of this poem formed in my head. I love sitting by flowing water and listening to its chatter.
