Description
This activity book introduces students at a grade 1 reading level to their community. It begins with examples of features within the local environment, both natural and people-made. From this base, students describe the physical characteristics of their community and how it has changed over time. Safety within the community as well rules and environmental concerns are also examined.
The activities provide a framework for students to better understand their community and how it has shaped their lives. A community review quiz is included.
