  • Downloadable workbooks (a link is included in the Additional Info tab to the site from which you download the book).
  • High/Low Books (high interest content, low reading level)
  • Programs, kits and manipulatives such as The Susan Barton Program, the Alert Program, Audiblox, Brain Integration Therapy and more.

Hi-Lo books can motivate struggling readers by providing books on topics that are engaging and are also targeted toward their independent reading level. Hi-Lo books can help build reading fluency, vocabulary, background knowledge, and interest in reading. They also have the advantage of looking like chapter books and are written about interesting topics with easy readability.

Audiblox: Overcoming Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, & Learning Challenges

Audiblox is a multisensory cognitive enhancement program, aimed at the development of foundational learning skills such as concentration, perception, memory, and logical thought. It improves performance in reading, spelling, writing and math. Audiblox is adaptable and can be used at home and in school, and is applicable for all age groups.

It can develop the learning skills of the high school learner to a very high degree, while it can also be used to prepare the preschool child for reading and learning from as early as three years of age. Audiblox is effective for a variety of learning difficulties including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyspraxia.

The Susan Barton Program

The Susan Barton Reading & Spelling System is a Structured Literacy program that is Orton-Gillingham influenced.

  • Simultaneous Multisensory Instruction: Research has shown that dyslexic people who use all of their senses when they learn (visual, auditory, tactile, and kinesthetic) are better able to store and retrieve the information.
  • Intense Instruction with Ample Practice: Instruction for dyslexic students must be much more intense, and offer much more practice, than for regular readers.
  • Direct, Explicit Instruction, structured and sequential learning.
Ten levels are available for bookings. Parents keep the books and just return the blocks when they are done.
