Canadian Reference Centre is a user-friendly research database available through our Learning Commons library. It contains a vast collection of reliable information resources covering a wide variety of subject areas including science and technology, history, literature and the arts.

Content includes:

  • Complete articles from hundreds of magazines, including popular regional  and international magazines
  • Regional and international newspapers
  • Canadian Press newswires
  • Radio and television news transcripts from the CBC
  • More than 2 million images, including thousands from the Canadian Press.

Using Canadian Reference Centre, you can

  • Find articles, news and images using a single search box
  • Pinpoint relevant results using source type and subject limiters
  • Save content to Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive
  • Use the citation tool to help you format bibliographic references
  • Hear HTML articles read aloud using Text-to-Speech

Remember that your up-to-date links, usernames, and passwords can all be found on the Search Portal.
