Follow these three simple steps:

1.

Find Your Username and Password

Your Encom username and password were emailed to you shortly after you were first accepted into our school.

If you are registered (do not have a support teacher), you will need to contact Shandra Wiebe to set up your parent and/or student accounts.

2.

Log in to Your Search Portal Account

This will give you the ability to search our collections and borrow physical and digital resources.

While in the Search Portal, click “Subscriptions” from the main menu to access the passwords for our subscriptions and Unit Study Kits. 

3.

Log into the Sora eBook/Audiobook Library With the Same Credentials

THAT’S IT!   Now you have access to

The Search Portal,

Sora,

Unit Study Kits, and 

Subscriptions.

Pro tip: bookmark all these pages and save passwords for later use.

What is the Search Portal?

The Search Portal is your gateway to Learning Commons resources. 

One search query produces results in our database subscriptions, eBooks, physical resources, web linking library and more.

What Are Unit Study Kits?

Unit Study Kits provide a selection of resources and activities so that students can “pick and choose” what suits their learning style.

They are cross-curricular and use our unique databases, subscriptions, and much more to meet the standards of BC’s curriculum in science, social studies, and more.

What Are Subscriptions?

Subscriptions allow your students to enjoy multi-subject databases which are interactive, research and standards-based in alignment with BC’s curriculum.

Subscriptions can be used alongside your curriculum as a supplement, and often will meet many of the subject requirements.
